Text Box: Your City has an enormous investment in its most important asset—its employees. We are very fortunate to have a staff, in every department, that is as trained, knowledgeable and dedicated as ours.
Recognized employees are:
MERITORIOUS SERVICE
Richard Hazlewood (pictured) was selected to receive the Meritorious Service Award. He was promoted in 2006 to the position of Code Enforcement/Planning Director replacing Bill Land who had retired. Rich is a six and a half year veteran of the City. He has handled a variety of assignments and is recognized, not only for his competence, but for his ability to work with others.
EMPLOYEES AWARD
Each year City employees nominate the people they Text Box: feel should be recognized. From the nominees, the superintendents select the one best choice; a task which is never easy. This years selection was Mr. Tony Traylor of the Water Department.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Recognized for their contribution to organizations outside the City were Don Foerster, President of the Local Planning Emergency Committee; “Mac” McDonald for his Congressional appointment as Service Academy Liaison and Richard Hazlewood, President of the Dubois County Shrine Club.
GOOD ATTITUDE
For consistently presenting a positive attitude to the public were Debbie Aders, Jackie Wehr and Janet Kemp of Utility Billing.
