While residents understand that it is
hard work that makes the community prosperous, they encourage visitors to join
them at the many recreational facilities within the community.
The professional baseball team, the Dubois County Bombers, calls League
Stadium at the Huntingburg City Park home.
A walking path intertwines itself among the many amenities at the City
Park, baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, swimming pool, shelter
houses, horseshoe pitches, and playground equipment.
Southside Park also possesses a baseball field, a concession stand, and
playground equipment for children and adults to enjoy.
A one-hundred and seventy-five-acre lake on the city�s west side is well stocked by the Indiana
Department of Natural Resources and provides excellent opportunities for
fishing.
The Huntingburg Parks and Recreation Department
consists of two parks. HUNTINGBURG CITY PARK is located at First
and Cherry Streets. It is a 40 acre park with facilities for all age
groups. Facilities include the following:
- 50 meter municipal swimming pool, including a water
slide, large deck area, wading pool, bath house, and a concession stand.
- Extensive picnic areas, four shelter houses, 85
picnic tables, 9 grills, 9 benches, and playground equipment for all ages.
- Lighted little league baseball field.
- League Stadium, a 3,000 seat lighted professional
baseball field.
- Softball fields, including a lighted girls' softball
field, and a lighted men's softball field.
- Two lighted tennis courts.
- Two lighted volleyball courts.
- Two basketball courts with lights.
- Three lighted horseshoe pits.
- Lighted walking trail with a paved surface that winds
throughout the city park The trail is one and one-half mile long.

SOUTHSIDE PARK is located on South Park Drive and
is a 12-acre Park established in 1979. Facilities at this site include:
- Picnic area with 10 tables and 2 grills.
- Shelter house with 6 large tables.
- Large Playground
- Two horseshoe pits
- One basketball goal
- One lighted Pony League baseball field
- Two parking areas accommodating 65 vehicles
